Hey guys, it’s Krista with SaddleBox and in today’s video I’ll be showing you one of my favorite ways to tie a tail bag in your horse’s tail.

So the first step, you want to get a pretty nice braid in the tail. This is where her tailbone is right here, so I started the braid here. And then you’re going to take your tail bag and you want to bunch up the end like so, so that you’re not trying to stick the end of the tail in, because that can be kind of difficult, and then you’re going to bring it all the way up to the tailbone.

Then you’re going to find where you braided, find two little slits, and you’re going to stuff each little tie in there to where they are sticking of the back like so. So this is what it looks like, just like that.

And then you cross them in the back so that it looks like this in the front, and then you’re literally just going to do a few knots, just like that. And there’s your tail bag.

So tail bags, number one, keep your horse’s tail clean, and number two, pretty much tangle free because you braid them before you put them in the tail bag.

So if you have a show horse or a horse with a really long and luxurious tail, tail bags are extremely useful. So that’s one of my main uses for tail bags, and I hope you all enjoyed this video and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye guys!
