Can I Make My Own Horse Treat Recipes?

Sure you can! As long as you use foods that are safe for horses to eat, you can experiment with all kinds of different, unique recipes for horse treats. Just mix and match some of the ingredients we list below, and test them on your horses to see how they like them!

Remember: a lot of these ingredients tend to burn quickly, so NEVER leave them in the oven unattended. We bake most of our horse treats at a temperature between 300 and 325 degrees, for between nine and twelve minutes. (No bake horse treats are even better!)

If you’re a kid, please DON’T EVER try to use mixing equipment, ovens or other cooking tools without your parents’ permission and supervision! It’s better to get your mom or dad’s help. (Note: horses can have allergies, just like people can. It isn’t likely, but it may be possible that your horse could be allergic to some of the foods listed below and get sick by eating them. If you’re feeding your horse a new food, always test very small amounts on them to make sure they don’t have a bad reaction. DO NOT use chocolate products in horse treats.)
