Hey guys, it’s Krista with SaddleBox and in today’s video I’m going to be showing you how to tie the bank robber knot.
Alright y’all, so to start out on the bank robber’s knot you’re going to make a loop and pull it across the bar you’re going to be tying your horse to, just like this. Then you’re going to take the tail end piece of your lead rope, go under the bar and then over your loop and it should look something like that.
Then you’re going to take that same piece and take it under and then loop it through the original loop, just like that. And then to tighten it, you’re not going to pull on the knot, you’re going to pull on the part that’s attached to your horse like so.
And then if you have a horse that you’re scared will undo himself, you can just put the tail piece through that loop. And then when you’re ready to untie your horse, all you’re going to do is pull that tail piece and you’re free.
